Chad Panther, Ph.D. – Mechanical Engineer

Dr. Chad Panther serves as a mechanical engineer for the WV Robotic Technology Center.  At WVRTC, Dr. Panther is responsible for WVRTC’S needs with design, prototyping, and test evaluation tasks.

Dr. Panther holds a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering, a Masters in aerospace engineering, and his Bachelors of Science in both mechanical and aerospace engineering, all of which were obtained from West Virginia University.

He has done multiple projects as a graduate research assistant at West Virginia University, including focusing on improving renewable energy capture and storage technologies at the Center for Industrial Research Applications at WVU. He also focused his efforts on mechanical design, experimental aerodynamics, circulation control, and various renewable energy projects. Dr. Panther is specialized in computational fluid dynamics and experimental wind tunnel testing.
