Michael Campbell – Systems & Data Engineer

Michael Campbell supports the West Virginia Robotic Technology Center across multiple disciplines including software development, robotic operations and machine vision.

Campbell works to visualize and condense the data collected from the various test campaigns and identifies trends used to drive requirements. He also leads the effort to characterize and optimize the accuracy of the facility’s multiple robotic manipulators.

Campbell received his undergraduate degrees in mechanical and aerospace engineering from WVU before accepting a position in the defense industry, working primarily on airborne early warning radar systems.

He went on to earn his master’s degree in mechanical engineering with an emphasis on robotics and controls from Johns Hopkins University. His areas of expertise include modeling and simulation, data analysis and algorithm development.
